John Dalton '59
Lieutenant USNR 1965 - 1967
I was a General Medical Officer (LT) in the USNR on active duty from July 1965-July 1967.

My first assignment was on the USS Mars (AFS-1), CINCPACFLEET, Home ported in Yokosuka, Japan. I served as ship's doctor from August '65 to Oct. '66. USS Mars was the first ship of it's class designed as a fast cargo ship for underway replenishment. We spent most of the time off the coast of Vietnam, only to return to Japan or Subic for short visits to restock.

From October '66 till July '67 I was assigned to the Yokohama Dispensary.

On my return to the States, I continued to devote one evening per week as a medical officer at the Cleveland Recruitment Center, from August '67-June '70.
