The 2 pictures were taken while I was in Mosul Iraq in April 2003 at the beginning of what we at the time called the "shooting war"! Differentiating that period (March-May 2003) from the occupation and nation building phases of the conflict.

As a Major (Select) in the United States Marine Corps, I fly KC-130s by trade, but seem to find myself drawn to the infantry and Special Operations side of the house where I currently work with Marine Special Operations Command (MARSOC).
