Scott's father was a senior admiral in the Navy, and Scott had a colorful career with interesting assignments in the area of public relations. You may be aware that Scott was a journalism major in college and actually did daily news reports for one of the local radio stations while in college. He would drive his van around to news sites and phone in reports each day. Showed real initiative. The reports would come on the radio about noontime. When we ROTC guys returned to the house after drill formation, we could listen to Scott's daily report. As I recall, he went on to serve on the JFK carrier. After the Navy, I believe he went to work for CBS, but those recollections are vague. Scott passed away a few years back.
